Akademický sochař, sklářský výtvarník a designér František Vízner patří k legendám českého sklářství. Jeho díla jsou zastoupena v prestižních světových sbírkách, např. Metropolitním muzeu v New Yorku, ve Victoria & Albert Museum v Londýně nebo v Muzeu dekorativních umění v Paříži. Jako výtvarník sklářské hutě Ústředí uměleckých řemesel ve Škrdlovicích, kde působil v letech 1967–1977, se věnoval hutnicky tvarovanému sklu. Akcentoval optické vlastnosti skloviny, typická pro toto období je práce se vzduchovými dutinami, decentní barevnost a konstruktivní tvar. Ve škrdlovické sklárně navrhoval Vízner silnostěnné sklo s výraznou barevností nebo se strukturálním povrchem, které utlumilo transparentnost materiálu. Academic sculptor, glass artist and designer František Vízner is one of the legends of Czech glassmaking. His works are represented in prestigious international collections, such as the Metropolitan Museum in New York, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris. As a glass artist at the glassworks of the Arts and Crafts Centre in Škrdlovice, where he worked from 1967 to 1977, he worked on furnace-shaped glass. He emphasized the optical properties of glass, typical for this period is the work with air cavities, subtle colour and constructive shape. In the glassworks in Škrdlovice, Vízner designed thick-walled glass with a distinctive colouring or with a structural surface that subdued the transparency of the material. He emphasised the plasticity of the vessels.
