Kolekce dámské obuvi OffCuts

Maria Nina Václavková absolvovala bakalářské studium na Fakultě umění a designu Západočeské univerzity v Plzni a magisterské na UMPRUM v Praze. Absolvovala stáž v Atelier du Sartel v Paříži a u německé firmy EKN footwear. Její diplomová kolekce bot OffCuts získala cenu Objev roku v soutěži Czech Grand Design 2018. Obuv je sestavená z vyměnitelných součástí, díky nimž se dá prodloužit její životnost. Komponenty jsou spojené mechanicky bez použití lepidel. Svršky jsou vyrobeny z veganské alternativy kůže, která působí jako semiš, je prodyšná a odolná. Podrážka je z přírodní gumy, čistého kaučuku. Část bot tvoří tzv. EVA pěna, lehký a pružný pěnový kaučuk se síťovanou strukturou. Celá koncepce bot OffCuts vychází z hledání koncepčních, konstrukčních a materiálových řešení designu obuvi, který by měl co nejmenší dopad na životní prostředí. Vizí do budoucna je použití tzv. bloomfoam, pěny tvořené ze 40 % ze sladkovodních sinic.

Maria Nina Václavková completed bachelor’s studies at the Faculty of Art and Design at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and master’s studies at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague as well as an internship at Atelier du Sartel in Paris and at the German company EKN footwear. Her diploma collection of OffCuts shoes won the Discovery of the Year award in the Czech Grand Design 2018 competition. The shoes are made up of interchangeable parts that can extend their life. The components are joined mechanically without the use of adhesives. The uppers are made of a vegan leather alternative that acts like suede, is breathable and durable. The sole is made of natural, pure rubber. Part of the shoe is so-called EVA foam, light and flexible foam rubber with a mesh structure. The whole concept of the OffCuts shoe is based on the search for conceptual, structural and material solutions for shoe design with the least possible impact on the environment. The vision for the future is the use of so-called bloomfoam, a foam made up of 40 % freshwater cyanobacteria.
