Calex 200

V době vzniku patřila chladnička Calex 200 mezi nejluxusnější výrobky bílé techniky v Evropě. Rozpoznávacím znakem byly oblé tvary výrobku a výrazné zpracování dveří, které byly vylisovány z ocelového plechu včetně ozdobných prolisů. Vnitřní prostor byl osvětlen a jeho výplň byla z novoduru (PVC), se skříňkou na máslo a dvěma hliníkovými policemi na lahve. Autorem názvu Calex byl hlavní konstruktér Oldřich Cabalka, který spojil slovo „calor“, což bylo označení v té době používaných jednotek tepla, a slovo „expedovat“, jež vyjadřovalo hlavní princip fungovaní kompresorových ledniček, který je spojen s odvodem (expedicí) tepla z uzavřené lednice pomocí chladícího média. Autorem sněhové vločky na dveřích ledničky Calex 200, která se později stala nedílnou součástí propagace a dalších výrobků Calex, byl Karol Hrubý. ///

At the time of its origin, the Calex 200 refrigerator was one of the most luxurious white goods in Europe. Its hallmarks were the rounded shape of the product and the distinctive design of the doors, moulded from sheet steel including decorative mouldings. The interior space was illuminated and filled with novodur (PVC), with a butter cabinet and two aluminium shelves for bottles. The author of the name Calex was the chief designer Oldřich Cabalka, who combined the word "calor", which was the name of the units of heat used at that time, and the word "expedite", expressing the main principle of operation of compressor refrigerators, which is connected with the removal (expedition) of heat from the closed refrigerator by means of a cooling medium. The designer of the snowflake on the door of the Calex 200 refrigerator, which later became an integral part of the promotion campaign, as well as other Calex products was Karol Hrubý.
