Sklářský výtvarník, šperkař a designér Vladislav Urban navrhoval lisované, broušené i hutně tvarované sklo a skleněné plastiky. Experimentoval v kovovýrobě sklářských forem. V konstrukci přišel s nápadem odlévat formy přímo z modelů. Design lisovaného skla vyžaduje značné zkušenosti a znalost řemesla, drahé kovové formy neumožňují experimenty jako u skla hutního. Urban díky tomu obohatil sortiment lisovaného skla o sklo s rozmanitými strukturami. Jeho design skla vyniká kvadratickými tvary, povrchy nádob mají výraznou strukturu. Poháry ze souboru na horké a studené nápoje vznikly jako diplomová práce autora na VŠUP v Praze. V roce 2004 je daroval Moravské galerii v Brně.  /// 

The glass artist, jeweller and designer Vladislav Urban designed pressed, cut and furnace-shaped glass and glass sculptures. He experimented in the metal production of glassmaking moulds and came up with the idea of casting moulds directly from models. The design of pressed glass requires considerable experience and knowledge of the craft; expensive metal moulds do not allow for experiments as with furnace-shaped glass. As a result, Urban enriched the range of pressed glass with variably textured glass. His glass designs are distinguished by their square shapes and the surfaces of the vessels have a distinctive texture. The cups from the hot and cold drinks set were created as the designer's diploma thesis at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. In 2004 he donated them to the Moravian Gallery in Brno.
