Pavel Ivančic studoval na UMPRUM v Praze a poté pokračoval v postgraduálním studiu na Central Saint Martins v Londýně. V letech 2003–2011 tvořil spolu s Radanou Ivančicovou pod značkou Muset Fashion Design. Od roku 2012 vede Ateliér módní tvorby na UMPRUM v Praze. Model z kolekce The Unrelated Twin je ušit z bavlny objevené v archivu Velvety ve Varnsdorfu, tkaniny původně určené pro speciální hornické uniformy, a luxusního švýcarského hedvábí. Autor zde kombinuje prvky špičkové krejčoviny s detaily utilitárního průmyslového zpracování, používá inovativní technologii lepení a vrstvení materiálů. Je esencí tvorby Pavla Ivančice. Zabývá se v něm otázkou identity, společenského zařazení a genderové konstrukce. „Lze jej popsat jako radikální stylizaci lidské figury a geometrickou 3D abstrakci v precizním krejčovském pojetí a označit za ‚konceptuální couture pracující třídy‘.“

Pavel Ivančic studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and then continued his postgraduate studies at Central Saint Martins in London. From 2003 to 2011 he worked together with Radana Ivančicová under the Muset Fashion Design brand. Since 2012 he has been head of the Fashion Design Studio at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague.

The model from The Unrelated Twin collection is made of cotton discovered in the archive of Velveta Co. in Varnsdorf, a fabric originally designed for special miners' uniforms, and luxurious Swiss silk. The designer combines elements of haute couture with details of utilitarian industrial processing, using the innovative technology of pasting and layering materials. It is the essence of Pavel Ivančic’s work, in which he deals with the question of identity, social position and gender construction. “It can be described as a radical stylisation of the human figure and a geometric 3D abstraction in a precise tailoring approach and can be termed ‘working class conceptual couture’.”
