Architekt a teoretik Adolf Loos je jedním z nejvýznamnějších brněnských rodáků a zásadní osobností modernistické architektury, který proslul svým zatvrzelým odmítáním ornamentu. V jeho tvorbě nalezneme pouze jeden jediný návrh skleněného nápojového souboru. Tzv. Loos Service, ve vzorníku firmy Lobmeyer pod č. 248, se v jejím sortimentu stal jedním z nejznámějších nápojových setů a v nabídce je dodnes. Hladké tvary karafy a sklenic z čirého skla zdobí pouze minimalistický mřížkový dekor vybroušený do dna sklenic a konce zátky karafy. Na vídeňské přehlídce Design Week 2011 představil Stefan Sagmeister k 80. výročí legendárního souboru č. 248 Adolfa Loose svůj redesign tohoto nápojového setu. Na dna sklenic umístil ilustrace sedmi smrtelných hříchů a sedmi nebeských ctností, které se objeví jako překvapení po dopití nápoje. Reagoval tak na Loosův dopis Lobmeyrovi, v němž mu navrhoval dát na dna sklenic „motýly, malá zvířata a nahou lidskou figuru“. ///

Architect and theorist Adolf Loos is one of the most important Brno natives and a fundamental figure in modernist architecture, famous for his stubborn rejection of ornament. Only one design for a glass drinkware set can be found in his oeuvre. The so-called Loos Service, in the Lobmeyer pattern book under No. 248, became one of the most famous drink sets in the company's range and is still offered today. The smooth shapes of the decanter and glasses from clear glass are decorated by minimalist lattice decor carved into the bottom of the glasses and the end of the decanter stopper. At the Vienna Design Week 2011, Stefan Sagmeister presented his redesign of this drink set for the 80th anniversary of Adolf Loos' legendary set No. 248. On the bottoms of the glasses he placed illustrations of the seven deadly sins and the seven heavenly virtues, which appear as a surprise after the drink is finished. This was in response to Loos's letter to Lobmeyr, in which he suggested putting "butterflies, small animals and a naked human figure" on the bottoms of the glasses.
